Profile
Edoardo Gherardi was born in 1973 and graduated with honors in 1999 from the IUAV in Venice.
He founded his company called ”Gherardiarchitetti” in 2000 in Treviso and Castelfranco Veneto.
He won the following awards: the Young & Design award in 2006 and 2007, the Iconic Award in 2017 (Product – Best of the best), the German Design Award in 2018 (Excellent Product Design) for the Regolo tap, the Compasso d’Oro Award in 2018, the German Design Award in 2020 (Excellent Architecture) for the Museum of Santa Caterina and the New Ascom Headquarters, the Iconic Award in 2020 (Innovative Architecture) for M.B. villa and for the Museum of Santa Caterina, the In-Architettura Award 2020 (Veneto) and the Design Award 2021 (second place) for the Museum of Santa Caterina, the Architecture Award 2021 of Bassano del Grappa (second place) for M.B. villa, the BIGSEE Wood Design Award 2021 for M.B. villa, the Iconic Award in 2021 for Diemme Academy.
Since 2021 he has been the art director of Varaschin and he’s the art director of several companies in the furniture sector.
He works in many sectors, from urban design to interior design, product design and naval design as well.
In the last decade he has been following the art direction of the main exhibitions in Italy and he has been involved in many projects abroad, including Switzerland, Luxembourg and Qatar, just to name a few.
In 2021 he was invited to participate in the 2021 XVII Biennale of Architecture in Venice with the exhibition “Escapology”.
