Hamp & Round Collection by Point
A statement of intentions
The Hamp and Round Collection is a combination of the two-collection created by designer Francesc Rife.
The Hamp collection consists of a dining armchair, lounge chair and a 2-seater sofa. It is a technically complex process to achieve the neo-minimalist look of this collection. The teak wood used (sourced from sustainably managed forests) has been turned as if it were a metal tube and bent to create a piece that is full of expressiveness. Rifé proposed a wooden skeleton with a tensioned technical fabric that forms the base and backrest on which the cushions rest. This has resulted in pieces of generous dimensions.
Closing the circle, is what it is all about in the Round Collection. It consists of three tables made from teak wood from sustainably managed forests. The inspiration for this collection is the minimalist aesthetics seen on the products. Francesc Rifé, has always worked with subtly rounded shapes to achieve a light, stylised silhouette that works with different models of tabletop made from different materials.
