Lievore Altherr Molina Collection
Profile
Lievore Altherr Molina studio was born in 1991 from the merger of Alberto Lievore, Jeannette Altherr and Manel Molina, its three founding partners. From the beginning until the moment they decided to split up in 2016, and given their multidisciplinary vocation, the team transcended the limits of product design
(furniture, objects, packaging, etc.) to embrace consultancy and art direction for the most diverse companies always providing individualised solutions.
Their humanistic approach to design is easy to detect in the persistent search for aesthetically beautiful and pure forms which come, nonetheless, as the logical fruit of the rules imposed by function and context. Throughout the years, the studio received many national and international awards. One of the most outstanding was the Spanish Premio Nacional de Diseño in 1999. Moreover, their work has been exhibited in the main capital cities of the world, such as Paris, Tokyo, London or New York.
“For us, good design makes us fall in love with it, sometimes for different reasons: its balance, its iconic strength, synthesis, sensuality, ingenuity... or all rolled into one. An object is well designed when it makes us believe that such a function could not have been carried out in any other way. Good design is timeless”
“We seek to instill harmony, balance, values we believe in: we are out to seduce rather than impress”
